For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I truly believe there is a heaven and that when we leave this life, we go onto even more wonderful life where all our family and friends who no longer exist is in this lifetime are waiting for us with open arms and love.

May your day be filled with light and love.

Love,

Debbie
Debbie Bouchertag:debbiebouchermeditations.com,2005:Post/62583072020-03-22T14:37:38-04:002021-03-14T17:35:40-04:00Coronavirus & Fear
With the Coronavirus running rampant throughout the world and the death toll and total confirmed cases rising, there is fear of the unknown.

For these reasons, I wanted to share this Bible verse, that my grandmother would read to me when I was a young child when I was afraid and needed courage. I also taught it to my children when they were young. It is the one prayer that I have said my entire life since I was a young child.

ISAIAH 41:13

“For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”

Through the years I have modified it slightly by saying, “God shall hold my right hand saying unto thee, fear not for I shall help thee.”

I believe God listens to you no matter how you pray and gives you comfort when you are in need.

More than ever, we need to send out blessings to the world. I hope you will join me in a daily pray for world health, peace and joy.

If you have a prayer or bible verse that has helped you and your loved ones, please comment with it.

Thank you and may your day be filled with health, love, joy, and peace.

I was 23 years when I had written my “husband wish list”, I was tired of dating men who didn’t like to work or have a sense of humor. Hence the reason I came up with the following traits I had wanted in my future husband (besides him being like my dad):

· Likes to work;

· Has a sense of humor;

· Nice looking (hey, what can I say . . . I was 23 at the time:)).

When I was 18, my dad had invited a co-worker friend over to the house who happened to be a psychic. At the time, she would use her psychic abilities to help the local police department find missing children. My dad started cajoling me, saying, “Have her read your palms, Debbie!”. This made me nervous, and I said, “No Way.” But curiosity got the best of me and I finally agreed.

So she took my hands (palms up) and started looking at the lines on my hands. She said that I would soon be meeting a man with the initial “R,” and she saw a lot of blue and the No. 6. She then said he would wine and dine me but would not be the man I would marry. I would meet my husband in my travels and we would have two children together. At the end, she said that at any time, I could change the path of my future.

Sure enough, a week later, we had a water bed delivered to help with my dad’s back. The delivery guy’s name was Robert, he delivered the water bed at 6:00 pm, and the blue was the color of the bed and the water that goes in it. He did wine and dine me but wasn’t the marrying type of guy. Looking back, if I did marry him, we would be divorced now. We were just two different types of people with nothing in common.

Fast forward to now, and my soul mate, David, and I will be celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary, and we have two children named Jackie and Michael. And, he has all the traits I had written down, including the same personality as my dad.

Another interesting factor is both David and my son, Michael, have the same Chinese sign that my dad did . . . the Dragon.

Have you had something similar happen to you? If so, I’d love to hear about it!

Debbie Bouchertag:debbiebouchermeditations.com,2005:Post/61085172020-01-15T19:37:45-05:002021-01-03T17:08:53-05:00The Day My Husband Almost Died . . .
I will never forget the day. It was April 4, 1997, over 20 years ago. At the time, I was pregnant with our first child.

It was all so surreal; I had just returned from my lunch hour at the technology company where I worked. As soon as I walked into the building, the head of Human Resources was there to greet me. He asked me to step into his office because he needed to talk with me about my husband, Dave.

My mind started racing in all different directions, and what he said was the last thing I expected . . .

He said that the HR department at my husband’s work just called him about Dave. They said that he had been in an accident at work. Dave had fallen into a chemical containment pit and that the emergency team was trying to get him out.

At the time, they did not know the extent of his injuries but that I needed to go to the hospital immediately.
He then asked my friend, who was also my sister-in-law, Carmel, to escort me to the hospital.

Dave worked at a circuit board company managing their wastewater as a supervisor. For those of you not familiar with this type of job, his role was to cleanse the water before it is discharged to the city sewer.

The company I worked for at the time was about 25 minutes from the hospital. Carmel and I arrived a little after the ambulance.

As Carmel and I entered the hospital, we were met by the Chaplin since it was a Catholic hospital. He then escorted us into his office within the Chapel. I had no idea what this meant; however, Carmel did since she was and is Catholic. Although Carmel’s disposition was outwardly composed and loving, internally, she was “freaking out”.

For me, I believe it was a blessing in disguise . . .

Had I known the real reason we were meeting with the Chaplin was that he was unsure whether David would live or die.

The doctor then met with me and gravely told me that Dave had shattered his femur in his left leg. Since the femur is the largest bone in the human body and David had shattered his . . . it was important that they operate on him.

The doctor said the surgery would take about two hours. They needed to take bone grafts from his hip and then rebuild his femur with pins, bolts and screws.

The two hours turned into six hours. It was the longest day of my life. The not knowing was killing me . . . I was an emotional, pregnant wreck. I was very lucky that I did not have a miscarriage.

When the doctor finally came out to meet with me, he said that the surgery took longer than expected due to the number of shattered bones. He said it was essential to remove all the tiny pieces of bones so that he did not have a blood clot and die. The doctor then said that he was fortunate to be alive. If he had fallen into one of the tanks, he would not be here today.

It was a long road to recovery for him. He was in the hospital for two weeks and then home for seven weeks after that. Dave had intense physical therapy, where he had to relearn how to walk.

Financially we were strapped, but I believe that God was watching over us and provides for us when we need him . . . because at the time, we won $1,000 on a lottery ticket.

As I look back on that harrowing experience, Dave’s attitude was always positive and upbeat. He was determined to walk before Jackie was born. And he did. Our beautiful baby girl was born on August 19th, and Dave was able to carry her in his arms as he walked.

In closing, writing this blog brings tears to my eyes about the “what ifs” . . . so please take a moment to either text, call or hug your loved ones and let them know how much they mean to you:). ❤️ Debbie
Debbie Bouchertag:debbiebouchermeditations.com,2005:Post/60626782020-01-05T18:57:41-05:002021-03-29T19:55:45-04:00Winter Walk in the Woods
I took this picture during one of my walks in the woods this past Friday. Whenever I see something this beautiful with the sunlight streaming, I love to walk into the sunshine and have it bathe me in its warmth while saying a prayer to God. ❤️ Debbie
Debbie Bouchertag:debbiebouchermeditations.com,2005:Post/60219262019-12-15T15:12:01-05:002021-03-22T07:55:10-04:00Coincidence or Answer to a Prayer?
My life change when my mom died. I remember the day like it was yesterday. It was a Sunday afternoon in August 2016 when my mom had died. Prior to receiving the call from the nursing home that her time was near, 100 dragonflies appeared outside our garage. This magically sight was the beginning of my spiritual journey.

It has also made me think back to times in my life and wonder whether it was a coincidence or an answer to a prayer?

With that reason, I wanted to share an experience that occurred about 20 years ago (and yes, I am dating myselfJ). At the time, I was finishing up my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and my final class was a Capstone Course where I had to write a marketing plan for a business.

I was going to night school while working a full-time job during the day. This was also before my husband and I had kids and we lived in a quaint, small two-bedroom home in the city.

A few days before my final class, I was leaving to go to work. After starting my car, I noticed a huge spider sitting behind the dashboard glass on the gas gauge. I am not a fan of spiders, so was very happy that the glass separated us. I started to tap the glass so the spider would get off the gas gauge. When the spider finally moved . . . the gas gauge stayed stuck on “Empty”.

At the time, I believed there was plenty of gas in the car (or so I thought).

Thursday night arrives and I am happily driving home from my final exam when my car starts to splutter and die on a four-lane highway. The time is about 9:00 pm at night.

I was scared to death.

I locked all the doors and sat in total darkness as the cars flew by me gently rocking my car back and forth. My mind started racing about everything that could go wrong not to mention thinking about every horror movie where a girl is stranded in a car . . . (okay, lets not go there).

I started to pray that everything would be alright.

I notice that there were no houses on my right where the car had died . . . just a forest of trees. However, in the distance on the other side of the road, I could see lights . . . which meant crossing all four lanes with a grassy median strip to get there.

For many of you wondering, I did not have a cell phone then since they were just coming out on the market. I didn't have roadside assistance. I was also dressed in nice work clothes since I had worked that day.

So I unlocked the car door and as soon as there were no cars coming in either direction, I took a leap of faith and darted across the highway. I then encountered a chain link fence separating the houses from the highway. Luckily, at the time, I was in great physical shape from jogging so I easily climbed the fence and ran to the first house I saw.

The backside of the house was facing the highway, so I ran around to the front and knocked on the door. A middle age woman answered the door and I breathlessly explain that my car had died on the highway and could I please use her phone to call my husband. She agreed.

I called Dave and explained what had happened and could he come pick me up. He then asked for the address. I turned to the woman and asked where she lived.

What happened next left me dumbfounded . . .

She replied that her address was “9 Hillcrest . . .”. Dave and I lived at 9 Hillcrest . . . in the next town over! Was this an answer to a prayer or a coincidence . . . you decide. I truly believe it was an answer to a prayer.

As always, thank you for reading my post. If you’ve had something similar happen to you, I would love to hear about it. May your day be filled with light and love.

Each morning we text each other three things that make us grateful. It really helps us to appreciate the things we already have in our life.

Here's an example of one I sent to her: I am grateful for the sunshine today. I am grateful that I am happy, healthy and at peace. I am grateful to the people in life who bring me joy and love❤️.

If you do a gratitude list, I would love to hear about it. If you do not do, please give it a try and let me know. Also, it doesn't have to be three things you are grateful for, it could be just one.

As always, thank you for reading. May your day be filled with light and love.

Thank you for reading them! My series has been just a brief overview about Chakras. There are many wonderful books out there that can provide you with more information. I learned about Chakras as part of my Reiki training.

This week is about our Crown Chakra which is located on your head at the top of it. It is our spirituality and connecting to it. I love my Crown Chakra this is where I envision my connection to heaven. It is also about pure bliss.

When I had my first Reiki session with Chakras, I can’t begin to describe the overwhelming happiness I felt afterwards. Because of this happiness, I am now a Reiki Master and big believer in the importance of clearing your Chakras.

I hope you enjoy listening to this guided meditation.

As always, I hope you have a blessed day & evening.

This week is about our Third Eye (Brow) Chakra. Your Third Eye is located between your two eyes. This is about trusting your intuition and imagination.

When your Third Eye is blocked, it can lead to headaches, eye and ear problems.

Indigo is one of the colors associated with your Third Eye. To keep this Chakra clear, it is important to eat foods including grapes, eggplant, walnuts, salmon, etc.

One of my mantras when I am meditating to help clear this Chakra is by saying, “It is safe for me to see with my Third Eye”. I then image a beautiful eye that is opening up and allowing me to see the future that I envision for myself as if it has already happened. I like to call this my power of positive thinking.

This week is about our Throat Chakra. This is about our ability to communicate to others and fear of speaking your truth.

If you have a challenge with speaking up for yourself, it may because you were punished or teased for talking your truth at some point in your life.

The color associated with your Throat Chakra is blue. To keep this Chakra clear, it is important to eat fruits like blueberries and blackberries. Lavender tea is also great for your Throat Chakra. It is one of my favorite teas to drink.

When this Chakra is block, you may have respiratory problems including sore throats. One of my mantras when I am meditating to help clear this Chakra is by saying, “I am not afraid to speak my truth and whatever I have to say is received with love”. I then envision a round circle of blue free of any imperfections glowing in the middle of my throat.

As always, thank you for reading my post. Next week, I’ll cover the Third Eye Chakra.

This week’s Chakra is the Solar Plexus Chakra. The Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras are all associated with your body.

I am a big believer in keeping your Chakras cleared. If your Chakras are blocked, they can cause illnesses and emotional issues.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is located above your belly button in the upper stomach area. This Chakra is associated with being confident and feeling powerful in who you are. One of my new favorite sayings recommended by a friend of mine is, “I am Powerful”.

When this Chakra is blocked, fear, loss of confidence and anxiety can occur.

The color associated with your Sacral Chakra is yellow. When I think of my Solar Plexus I think of the Sun being warm, bright and happy.

To keep this Chakra clear, it is important to eat foods that are yellow like corn, bananas, pineapples. Wheat, brown rice are also foods to help your Solar Plexus Chakra.
